MY APPROACH TO HELPING
Understanding that we thrive when we are receiving the support, guidance and nourishment that we need, I am dedicated to holding a safe, loving, non-judgmental space for people who choose to receive it. I fully believe in the innate wholeness of every human being and our inherent drive toward healing and self-actualization. In holding a safe and healing space for you, we gently explore what emerges in the present moment, letting the session organically unfold. Holistically oriented, I facilitate awareness, expression and integration between body, emotions, mind, and spirituality within therapy. I specialize in body-focused therapy, mindfulness, expressive-arts therapy, yoga, meditation, internal family systems, as well as heart-centered talk therapy. I see things from a soul-level perspective and am always zooming out to place whatever this moment is showing you into the greater tapestry of your life. I am welcoming clients who want to step into a deeper, more authentic, connected, alive and expansive place within themselves.
MY ROLE AS A THERAPIST
It is a deep privilege to witness all that you are, in every given moment. My role as a therapist is that of a guide. You are the ultimate source of wisdom, and I help reconnect you to your own inner well of intuitive, embodied intelligence. I encourage and support the genuine expression of your emotions, no matter how uncomfortable they may be. I hold a protective, safe space in the room so you may feel at ease to just be as you are. I gently direct the session to help meet your goals. Whoever and however you are is ALWAYS okay with me. Thank you for allowing me to be with you. It is an honor I hold dear to my heart.
MY ROLE AS A SPIRITUAL GUIDE
Since early adolescence, I have deeply felt that life was far more than what I can see with my eyes. That the world I was living in was a beautiful and grand mystery that I had to understand. Through a series of magical and synchronous encounters, the universe beckoned me toward the path of awakening.
I have spent over 25 years seeped in spiritual inquiry and experience. My path has led me toward studying Yogic and Eastern philosophies. I have integrated shamanic and Earth-based spiritual practices into my daily life. Energy medicine, body-work, sacred plants and psychedelic medicines, women’s rites and rituals and dance/movement practices (and more) have all become integral in my quest to better understand this majestic universe and our place in it.
My graduate degree is in Transpersonal counseling psychology. The term ’transpersonal’ refers to the blending of spirituality and psychology. A greater perspective that leaves room for human experiences that are beyond personal - a psychological framework that holds space for the mystical and mysterious.
My deepest passion lies in working with other spiritual seekers. Guiding them in their sacred journeys home - toward an awakened heart and an embodied mind. The journey can be a lonely and confusing one. I assure that you are not alone.
If you find yourself in a juncture of searching for direction, meaning and spiritual connection, I will happily join you in the deep end and offer a float. Trusting that there is great reason we have been brought together for this chapter of life.
We all know there is something bigger than ourselves.
When we can touch that place, if even for a moment, and feel the source energy that is Love, then this world makes more sense and becomes a place we want to inhabit.
